Kitchen chest (mizuya-dansu) from the Hikone area on lake Biwa, Japan. Keyaki drawer faces, door panels and face frame. Hinoki wood frame joined with mortise and tenons. Sugi panels and drawer interiors. Hand-forged iron hardware. Finished with lacquer.
