Chomen dansu (scale chest). This type of scale was used by merchants and moneychangers specifically for weighing gold and silver. This scale comes with the set of weights. The drawers were used to hold the pieces when the scale is broken down with the lower drawers for the weights, middle drawer for holding the risers and crossbar, and the top drawer for the pans and scale bar.
