Four panel kasuri, most likely a futon cover. Kasuri is the Japanese style of ikat, where the threads of the material are resist-dyed before being woven. This piece is specifically e-gasuri (picture kasuri) as the image created is recognizable. Featuring images of Daikoku and Ebisu (two of the seven lucky gods). This process was first practiced in the 12th Century.
