Four panel kasuri 絣, most likely a futon cover. Kasuri is the Japanese style of ikat, where the threads of the material are resist-dyed before being woven.This process was first practiced in the 12th Century.
This piece is specifically e-gasuri (picture kasuri) as the image created is recognizable. Featuring images of Daikoku 大黒 and Ebisu 恵比寿 (two of the seven lucky gods) set against geometric patterns and a three petaled flower.
